Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. This acquisition complements 3M's Commercial Graphics business and strengthens 3M's personal graphics platform. The trend and desire for graphics to personalize everything, especially vehicles, is expected to continue to grow exponentially. With the launch of the all-new 2012 Nissan NV commercial van just months away, Nissan North America Inc. (NNA) announced a partnership agreement with Original Wraps Inc. of Lakewood, Colo., to provide vehicle graphics personalization technology to Nissan NV customers. Nissan Motor Co. says it has joined with Original Wraps Inc., a maker of vehicle personalization products, to offer a range of custom graphics for Nissan vehicles. Nissan is selling the stick-on designs through a new service, NissanGraphics.com. The designs, which range from racing stripes to psychedelic-style patterns, are on sale now for the Nissan Cube and will be available for the Juke small crossover in later this month, and for the Frontier pickup truck and other models later this year. The list of options available on a new car just got longer. Now you can add personality. A Lakewood company is pioneering the market for graphic designs that consumers can choose for their new cars. Original Wraps recently inked deals with Ford and Nissan and has worked with Mini Cooper for about a year. Deals with other major manufacturers are coming soon, said Original Wraps founder Tom Stemple.
